Backpacks for Whitney Elemenary School
The Rotary Club of Boise Southwest has provided backpacks full of school supplies to Whitney Elementary School. The backpacks were delivered to the outgoing 6th grade students as they prepare to enter North Junior High School. Each backpack was filled with notebooks, notepaper, pens, pencils, scissors, glue sticks and many other supplies to help ease their transition to junior high. As the students came through to pick up their backpacks, nearly all expressed extreme excitement about their futures.
The club also custom built 3 benches which are now prominently featured in their community garden.
