Some 35 young adults in the Pocatello area have come together to create a Rotaract Club.  Most of the members so far are students at Idaho State University but the club is open to all young adults between the ages of 18-30.  Kate Fornarotto (Pocatello Centennial Club) and Leif Tapanila (Pocatello Club) are helping to get this new club launched.  Leif, an ISU Professor, says “I'm happy to report that for the first time in quite a little while we have been able to put together a Rotaract Club together in Pocatello.  Rotaract is a great way to get young people interested in service above self."

All the Pocatello clubs have contributed to get the Rotaract Group started.  Emma Banks, a student at ISU, is the President of the Rotaract Club.  “We are at the delicate early phase when we are getting organized and we need everyone's help to spread the word.”  The club is a diverse group of people from a variety of backgrounds.  “One of the reasons I love working with this age group is because they are at crossroads, making decisions that will affect the rest of their life.  I am blown away to see how these young people are including service as a part of what they want to do to give something to the world”, Leif said.  The club currently meets at Goodies Deli, Wednesdays 5pm.
