The Rotary in Russia Conference, sponsored by the U.S.-Russia Intercountry Committee will be held in Houston, Texas at the Hilton Houston North on March 1, 2014
The focus of the conference will be the following: (1) an update of the progress of the Rotary movement in Russia; (2) opportunities available to Rotary Districts in the United States and Canada to forge a working relationship between one or more clubs in their district with one or more of the 80 Rotary clubs in Russia; (3) to strengthen and expand the membership of the U.S.-Russia Intercountry Committee, designed to assist Rotary clubs in Russia through Youth, Friendship, and Professional Exchanges between our countries; (4) to learn about current relationships and current projects between Rotary clubs in both countries; (5) to elect officers for the U.S. Section of the U.S. Russia ICC for Rotary Year 2014-15.
 

In less than four weeks, the Rotary in Russia Conference, sponsored by the U.S.-Russia Intercountry Committee will be held in Houston, Texas.  The conference will be held at the Hilton Houston North on March 1, 2014.  A registration form is attached. Those coming to the conference should make reservations as soon as possible by calling 1-866-577-1154 to receive the conference rate of $89 per night.  The Hilton offers a free shuttle service from the George Bush Intercontinental Airport for those flying in to Houston.

 

As of this date, the following Rotary Districts will be represented at the conference; 5020, BC, Canada; 5030 Washington; 5150 California; 5690 Kansas; 5730 Texas; 5790 Texas; 5890 Texas; 6840 Louisiana; 6840 Mississippi; and 7620 Maryland.

There are three levels of membership in the U.S.-Russia ICC: Individual ($20/year), Club Affiliation ($100/year), or District Affiliation ($200/year).  Districts that are members have a seat on the Board of Directors which sets policies, programs and goals for the ICC.  I encourage you to join the U.S.-Russia ICC as a member district, and I have attached a District Application for District membership.  Please send the completed application with a check payable to the U.S.-Russia ICC.  If your district joins as a member district, any Rotary Club or Individual Rotarian in your district is considered a member without the need to pay Club or Individual dues.  Upon receipt of a completed application, I will send a copy of the recently revised (20130 Constitution and Bylaws to you or your designated Representative.
