Terry Bowman, past president of the Rotary Club of Boise Southwest, has accepted an invitation from DG Bret Vaterlaus to serve as the D5400 membership chair, a three-year commitment. ImageHis first objective is to form a membership team, one member each from the eastern, central and western areas of our district.  If you would like to help, please contact Terry at tlbowman@cableone.net or call him at 208-939-8158.

Terry urges the membership chairs of each club to attend the mid-winter assemblies in Pocatello on Jan. 19 and Boise on Jan. 26.  If you are a membership chair, your presence is crucial to the creation of a membership action plan.

Bowman sees three major issues for conversation by membership leaders at the assemblies:  1) How can we increase the number of new members, 2) how can we effectively integrate new members into our clubs, and 3) how can we effectively retain members?

Come, bring your ideas about the role of your club and the support you need from the district.

(Dick Hart, past assistant governor, congratulates Terry Bowman on his new post at the meeting of Boise Southwest on Dec. 5, 2012.)
