While we know that our Rotarians serve in all sorts of ways while wearing the "uniform", we also know that many of our Rotary members find other ways to serve through a number of causes, board positions, and charity work. That is also the case with Jim Boley, President of the McCall Payette Lakes Rotary Club, who recently embraced the opportunity, along with "Mrs. Claus" aka Madeline Cahill-Boley, to create magic at the Trek to the North Pole at Ponderosa Park.
Children, large and small, made their way out into the great forest (some by snowshoes) to see Jolly St Nick and have a chat with the Big Guy about what might come on Christmas morning. Jim has enjoyed a number of roles as Santa Claus, but this was his favorite. "There are few greater responsibilities than stepping into these shoes. You've got to get it and get it right!" said Jim. All in all, there were close to 150 kids that visited Santa and then made short work of crafts and refreshments sponsored by the Roots School and the City of McCall.
