Looking for Rotary Volunteers for Light The World Giving Machine

We are THRILLED to have you on board as one of our Hosts for the inaugural year of Idaho’s Light the World Giving MachinesThis video will help you understand and see what this incredible opportunity is all about. We know this experience will be meaningful for our valley as we give and connect while serving together.   Thank You, Rotary Clubs, for how you lead out in making a positive difference! It just feels exactly right to have your service in carrying out this celebration of GIVING.

November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving, we expect a high volume of guests at the machines. It is the opening day of Festival of Trees AND a Steelheads Hockey game that evening!

We are in need of several volunteers to HOST at the machines on that day. Hosts will engage with visitors and guests and create a warm inviting atmosphere.

  • Encourage and assist people as they use the machines.
  • Keep lines moving and take photos for people at the photo backdrop.
  • A virtual training will be held on November 14 at 7:00 pm where we will go into greater detail and answer any questions you may have.

Please identify 4 hosts per shift. The Hours of hosting are from 9 am to 9 pm with the option to stay open an hour or so after the Steelheads hockey game for the crowds that exit into the Grove Plaza next to the LTW Giving Machines around 9:30 pm. Staying open one hour later would provide an additional opportunity for engagement! We suggest two hour shifts and ask that the shift hosts be 18 years or older.

Printable fliers and a sign-up sheet will be available.

Please share this information with your Club and contact Karol Stokes with any questions you may have. 208-699-9877, karolbks@gmail.com

Many heartfelt thanks Rotary Clubs! We are grateful for you.

Sincerely,

Amy Fife: Boise City lead,  Idaho LTW Giving Machines
