Boise Centennial Rotary Club is excited to invite you to the 5th Annual Kick Out Polio Kickball Tournament! The purpose of this event is to mingle with Rotarians from around the Treasure Valley, raise funds and awareness about Rotary’s work to end polio, and have FUN!
Q: When and where is this happening?
A: When: Saturday, October 11th | Registration starts at 10am and Opening Ceremonies start at 10:45am. We anticipate we’ll conclude around 2pm.
Where: Ann Morrison Park in Boise
Q: Can I invite my spouse/friend/family members?
A: YES! Bring your kids, neighbors, or anyone else who wants to spend the day with fantastic people and learn about Rotary’s work to end polio.
Q: Do I need to gather a whole team in order to participate?
A: You do not! Just show up solo or with a few friends/family members and we will organize teams the morning of the event.
Q: Do I have to be in stellar physical shape to participate?
A: Absolutely not! While we do ask that everyone play at their own risk, this is less about competition and more about fun, fellowship, and fundraising for PolioPlus. (Though bragging rights are great too). We’ll be sure to lead a pre-game stretching session.
Q: Is there a registration fee?
A: No. Thanks to the Boise Centennial Rotary Club, this event is free to attend. We do, however, have a shared goal of raising $2,000 for PolioPlus. Donations can be made through this link. While all gifts will be pooled to show the event’s total impact, each contribution will still count toward your individual giving record and your Rotary Club’s PolioPlus fundraising goal with Rotary International.
Q: Can we simply come watch?
A: Absolutely! All are welcome to come cheer on our fellow Rotarians. Even if you do NOT plan to play in the games, please REGISTER so we have an accurate headcount for food.
Q: Anything else I should know?
A: Prizes will be awarded for best costumes; let’s get creative! Coffee, lunch, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, but BYOB!
On behalf of Boise Centennial Rotary Club, we are excited to celebrate with you again this year as we work together to Kick Out Polio!
