It’s time to be thinking about applying for a Rotary Foundation district grant for 2019-20.  The deadline for completed and signed applications is June 1, 2019.  Click here for application instructions and terms of funding.  Please note that the amount of grant money available to a club in tier 2 has gone up this year, thanks to the generosity of Rotarians to Annual Fund-SHARE three years ago.  A grant amount of $1,135 is assured in this tier to all clubs who meet TRF and district criteria for a grant.

The maximum grant available to a club remains $5,000 but comes with stricter funding criteria than tier 2, so please read the instructions carefully.  And please remember to send your application for signatures in order to finalize the application process. Applications must be signed by two club members: the grant manager (project contact person) and the 2019-20 club president.  The 2019-20 club president cannot be the grant manager. The grant manager should not be an employee or Board member of a cooperating organization whose services are part of the project.  If multiple clubs are involved, all those clubs’ 2019-20 presidents must sign.  Make your application at https://www.matchinggrants.org

The district grant committee is here to advise you:  don’t hesitate to contact subcommittee chair Ines Crespo, ines@glassinbalance.com or District Rotary Foundation Chair Marianne Barker, mb@mariannebarker.com.
If you club has an open grant from the current year, we need your final report (or progress report if the project is not yet completed), no later than May 15, 2019.

Clubs who aren’t current in their reporting may lose the opportunity to receive a grant in the new cycle.
