In 2017/18 RI President Ian Riseley asked us to plant 1.2 million trees (or shrubs). We not only met the challenge, we crushed it by planting over 4 million!
In 2017/18 RI President Ian Riseley asked us to plant 1.2 million trees (or shrubs). We not only met the challenge, we crushed it by planting over 4 million! Since then, RI presidents have asked us to continue planting, not only from an earth stewardship point of view, but because our six areas of focus all depend on fresh air, clean water, and stable soil which trees and shrubs help provide. Next time you take a nice deep breath (go on, take one now) remember that oxygen may have come from a tree or shrub planted by a fellow Rotarian!
