This year the Rotary Club of Gooding participated in “Operation Facelift” Sponsored by Southern Idaho Economic Development and funded by the Idaho Department of Commerce. The event encourages the beautification of communities using seed money provided by Department of Commerce.

Our project was to create a “Welcome to Gooding” sign that greets visitors traveling into town from the South, our theme embraces our heritage and values built upon by agricultural, livestock and rodeo, which is reaching a national audience this year I might add.

In addition to greeting travelers the vacant space in the picture at the bottom of the sign will also consolidate the Civic group signs such as Rotary and Lions in one location, eliminating the multiple posts scattered throughout town, thereby reducing the visual noise in our community.
