Caring Hearts & Boise Sunrise Collaborate to Benefit Students in Kenya

The Caring Hearts schools in rural Kenya were founded in 2010 by Dr. Vincent Kituku, a resident of Eagle, Idaho since early 1990s. Dr. Kituku recently spoke to Boise Sunrise and Caring Hearts was our October Center of the Table (CoT) recipient. The organization operates a girls boarding high school and another one for boys. Both schools have classrooms, dormitories, dining halls, offices, and science labs, sports fields, and gardens.  The club contributed $1346 from the October CoT donations.

$1,346 will provide meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our two schools with a population of 575 students for ONE (1) month. Please note that those meals include meat three times a week, eggs and fruits; rare foods in most schools in Kenya! $1,346 could also provide eye clinic, treatment and medical eyes glasses for 12 students.

These photos allow us to see the progress on these two campuses. Theresia is one of the students at our girls school.

With Dr. Kituku’s vision and commitment, we are confident that we have been able to leave it better than we found it in east Africa. Bravo to these students who represent the future in Kenya!
