Picnic in the Park Volunteers!
Thank you so much for another summer of serving lunch to youth across the city. Not only were you a part of offering food security to our neighbors, but it got families outside and connected us to each other. We served 5,415 lunches over the past 10 weeks, 47 days, with 564 volunteer hours!
Many of you worked multiple shifts; some of you worked many shifts in a week even to help us pull this off! Thank you for going above and beyond.
A shout out to the organizations and companies that encouraged their team/members to help serve: Horizon Credit Union, Boise Metro Rotary, Freeform Spaces, Citibank, Junior League of Boise, Knights of Columbus, and National Honor Society! Thank you to our community partners that also complimented our presence at the parks: Boise Police Department, Boise Public Libraries, Boise Lions, & Boise Food Market.
Also, we couldn’t do this with the tremendous support and partnership with Boise School District’s Food and Nutrition Services.
