The Wetland Peace Preserve will be the world’s 171st peace park when it is built and dedicated in Boise in 2026. The WPP will contain 16 unique peace poles along the peace path between the park’s two entrance plazas. These will be a unique design unlike any peace poles anywhere else. They will be registered with RI and will serve to tell part of the story of Rotary in southern Idaho. More information about the current status of the WPP can be found on the homepage: www.wetlandpeacepreserve.org.
Fundraising has been the theme for the WPP in 2025. The park design is complete and it has all of the approvals and certifications needed from the Boise City Council and Boise Parks & Recreation. One avenue of this funding effort involves the unique artwork on each peace pole. This was done by a young artist by the name of Isabelle Arriaga a few years ago when she was a student at the Idaho Fine Arts Academy in Eagle. She is now a junior at College of Idaho in Caldwell.
There are 100 signed and numbered prints of this multi-image 18” x 24” poster available. These will sell for $75 each with $30 going to the artist and $45 toward the WPP. They carry an original signature from Isabelle as well as the standard numbered print format. Instructions on how one can obtain one of these are captured in the images within this document.

Rotarians throughout D5400 have generously supported this fundraising effort and on behalf of everyone on the WPP Steering Committee, I wish to express our gratitude for this support. Now we have another way for you to consider in support of getting the WPP funding over the finish line. Please contact John Lodal at 208-559-6507 or at jnlodal@gmail.com if you have any questions or requests. These are handsome prints that will benefit the creation of the WPP and the artist. We believe they can make a terrific gift. And when Isabelle becomes a world-renowned artist, you can say, “I knew her when…” with one of these prints hanging on your wall.
Thank you for considering this opportunity!
