Peacebuilding begins locally

As a humanitarian organization, peace is a cornerstone of the Rotary mission.  We believe when people work to create peace in their communities, that change can have a global effect.  By carrying out service projects and creating community through club activities, District 5400 Rotarians take action to address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty and unequal distribution of resources.  Peace building locally can sometimes be daunting, or undefined.  Here are two things that Rotary clubs can do locally to promote peace:

  1. Participate in the Epic Day of Service! Click here to learn more
  2. Become a Rotary Peacebuilder Club.  Click here to take action.

These are two easy activities to bring voice to your activities and promote your club!
