Nicole Nelson could have a future in stand-up comedy—and after her recent performance, no one would be surprised if she did! The bright and witty high school senior, daughter of Past District Governor Ben Nelson, had the audience in stitches during her “tell-all” report at the 2025 District 5400 Conference in Twin Falls on May 13.
Nicole shared her experience at Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) with humor, heart, and a spark that lit up the room. Like many RYLArians before her, she described the now-familiar arc of the camp experience: “Everyone starts out very skeptical, not knowing anyone—and by day four, everyone is family, and no one wants to leave.”
