Treasure Valley Rotary Clubs Are on the International Water Minga map

On Saturday, April 20th, multiple generations of Rotarians, Interactors, and friends of the Rotary Clubs of the Treasure Valley joined forces at our collaborative site to restore critical habitat during an international movement with over 100 other Rotary Clubs called the Minga Mundial.

Focusing on trash collection at the Wetland Peace Preserve along the Boise River, we walked the loop on the 18 acre plot gathering trash. Our efforts resulted in over 115.8 pounds of trash removed from the wetland in one hour.

  • That team includes Wilson Lozada who has worked very closely with PDG Kevin Learned, Past Foundation Chair Todd Fisher, and many others in the Boise Club on water projects–probably for over a decade.
  • The team also includes Natalia Luque, ESRAG’s Latina America Reporter from Colombia.

In short, D5400 has ties to RI’s and UNEP’s newest project, Community Action for Fresh Water.

Thank you, Audrie, for making this possible. Learn more.
