Wanted! A Sister Rotary Club In Idaho

Hi D5400 Rotarians!  Let me introduce you to my friend, President William Adjabui of the Accra-Airport East Rotary Club in Ghana. I had the pleasure of meeting William during a friendship visit to Africa last year!  I was truly inspired by the energy and commitment he and his club have for Rotary.

William asked me to reach out to clubs in D5400 to see if a club here in our District would like to become their SISTER ROTARY CLUB!  Chartered in February 2021, the Accra-Airport East Rotary Club has grown to an impressive 50 active members in just four short years! Their enthusiasm for service is infectious, and their club is involved in a wide range of impactful projects.

If your club is interested in building a fun relationship with another Rotary Club in Africa, I highly recommend connecting with William and the Accra-Airport East club. Wondering what you can do with a Sister Club? Here are just a few exciting possibilities:

  • Collaborate on international service projects — from hospital equipment to clean water initiatives
  • Sponsor schools or organize cancer screening campaigns
  • Host joint Zoom programs and share Rotary moments across continents
  • Celebrate Rotary events together — even attend international conferences side by side
  • Explore friendship visits or short-term youth exchange opportunities.

The sky’s the limit!

Rotarians in Africa are among the most passionate and dedicated Rotarians in the world, and this partnership could open up enriching experiences for your club and community.

Interested? Reach out to me, PDG Rich Kirkham, at (208) 251-6570 or rich@richkirkham.com. I’d love to help you connect with William — no commitment needed to start the conversation and learn about their initiatives. I promise, you’ll enjoy getting to know him and the wonderful Rotarians of the Accra-Airport East club.

Let’s build a bridge of friendship and service across continents!

PDG Rich Kirkham
