Youth Eco Film Contest Winners for 2025

Winners of the 2025 Youth Eco Film Contest!!!

We are thrilled to share the results of our Youth Eco Film Contest, hosted by the Rotary District 5400 Environmental Stewardship Action Team. Congratulations to all the participants who shared their creative and inspiring visions for a more sustainable future.

1st Place $1,000:
Sketch Alley ProductionsKaiden Howel and Ryan Richeson
Idaho Home Learning Academy Boise, ID

The video highlights how global environmental challenges like climate change and pollution can feel overwhelming, but small actions—like starting a home garden—can make a meaningful difference. Gardening helps reduce reliance on pesticides, conserves water, and supports local food banks with fresh produce. Julie Bokenamp, Garden Director at Kleiner Park Community Garden, shares her experience using sustainable practices and emphasizes the positive impact gardens can have on both people and the planet. The message is clear: by planting seeds, we can grow hope and help heal the Earth.

2nd Place: $750
One Week Production
from Robert Stuart Middle School Twin Falls, ID

Idaho schools waste millions in food each year. Programs like Offer Not Serve, food donation, leftovers bins, and composting can reduce waste and help the environment. Students are encouraged to take action and explore ways to minimize food waste in their schools and communities.
