Rotary District 5400 is excited to explore the launch of a new Rotary eClub designed for those who want to stay fully engaged in Rotary service but find it difficult to attend weekly in-person meetings. Meeting virtually means lower costs, no travel time, and greater flexibility—all while expanding our reach across the globe.
This new eClub will focus on international service. The club will initially focus on 2 major projects (1) Rotary Shark Pond entrepreneurship projects in Africa and (2) educational and zoological projects in Mozambique.
The club will meet online using a commercial Zoom license that allows for engaging, interactive features such as breakout rooms, polls, and whiteboards. On alternate weeks, members will be encouraged to visit other eClubs across the U.S. in Rotary fellowship. The eClub will extend a special invitation to members of the African Student Associations at Idaho universities. Club members will share cultural insights about their home countries, enriching our understanding of Rotary’s truly international mission.
For financial administration, the Boise Sunrise Rotary Club has offered to assist this satellite club in the early years while the eClub gets established.
