The May 17, 2026 Epic Day of Service was truly EPIC across D5400, and the globe! This year D5400 clubs all across Idaho and Oregon participated in service on the EPIC Day, and throughout the month of May. The EPIC day promotes and delivers on service across 7 countries, 21 Districts,10+ states, and grows each year. The projects start getting posted in January each year and slowly build over April and May, with double the participation in 2026 over 2025. D5400 showed up on the EPIC Day with 10 projects officially logged on the Epic Day of Service website; several more projects were hosted across the District on dates surrounding the Epic Day where Hope House, Sleep in Heavenly Peace and other organizations benefited from Rotary Service, because every day is an epic day of service in Rotary.
Projects hosted on May 17, 2026 included the following:
- Highway clean up by the Rigby Rotary Club
- Rotary Shark Pond Service event virtually with the e-Club of Global Service
- McMillan Elementary School playground updates and clean up by Boise Metro
- Pickleball Tournament for Mental Health Awareness hosted by Boise Southwest
- Rotary Park and Path Clean up by Rupert Rotary Club
- High Clean-up Project by Gooding Rotary
- Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge Clean Up by Nampa Rotary
- A Senior Center Ice Cream Social hosted by Eagle-Garden City Rotary
- Summer Reading Program Kick Off Party by Meridian & Centennial Clubs
- Global Project SkyBridge encouraged members to plant or care for small habitat spaces anywhere! Brought to you by the eClub Environmental Network Rotary Club

And there were an equal number of project in our bordering District in North Idaho, giving Idaho an opportunity to promote Rotary and service across the state! The EPIC Day of Service has something for everyone! Whether you’re passionate about helping the environment, supporting local families, or improving community spaces, there’s a project for you. Start planning for the 2027 EPIC Day that will be held on May 15, 2027 where we hope the media and other partners can Join us in making a difference–your unique talents and efforts can create a lasting impact in our community and beyond.
The EPIC Day of Service is a global moment of action where Rotary clubs and communities come together on a single day to serve, connect, and make a visible difference. It is not a program or campaign — it’s a movement of collective service with local projects that create global impact, to ignite collective action in a record-breaking day of service, transforming lives worldwide.
